Before we get to that part, I'd like to recommend educating yourself on this industry.  A lot of network marketers are quick to jump into a business and stop as quickly because they are failing miserably.  Lack of education is very high on the list because they were ill prepared for what was in store.  Partially their fault, but a high probability must rest upon the person who is mentoring them.  In most cases it is relatively inexperienced person doing the sponsoring which can lead to failure.

I would suspect that over 90% of the time, Christians will join a business opportunity based on (sponsor/mentor, products, system and compensation plan).  Most of these companies do not promote they are "Christian Companies" however, you can bet your life some of the people that work in the corporate headquarters are Christians.

What is normally found is that the distributor force is made up of all different kinds of people, from different walks of life, but somehow the Christians find each other and form business alliances or partnerships.  

As you know there are different degrees of Christians and when money comes into play, greed and the evil one can place a wedge in-between you and your organization.  It is best to form an alliance with the Lord and follow the advice in Malachi 3: 7-12

My best advice is to research, test the product and then test a marketing system to see if this is a viable business you and your family would be interested in.  For our family, we look for a business system that will allow us to spend less than 60 minutes a day implementing. If we can't do that, we will not join it.

Above all, pray with your family and ask the Lord to open the doors he wants you to visit and close all the other doors, that are not acceptable to him or your family.

We personally love affiliate programs because they are normally a "one time fee" and then you earn a particular commission from the sale of that product.  You do not need a website to promote the products, but it is recommended.

It is difficult to earn a residual income from affiliate programs, normally this is a "add on" to something you are currently working.

Most affiliate programs will offer a training section in their members area, but it is not a good start for a beginner who needs to learn "how to marketing".  Try as hard as you can to find a mentor, who will help you in your Christian Online Business venture.

We made our living off of network marketing businesses.  In fact, we still receive a check from a company for building an organization over 6 years ago.  We do not actively build this business anymore, however many people including ourselves still use and love the products.

In most cases, network marketing organizations will have plenty of tools, training and systems designed and set up by the leaders of your particular organization.  Mentoring is normally free in a network marketing organization, but I highly recommend "shopping for an upline".  Find someone who meets your needs. You can expect to pay monthly with most network marketing or mlm business.  Without a monthly purchase you will not receive a monthly income check.

Christian Home Based Business Opportunities  --NON MLM Businesses

These businesses are not a multi-level structured compensation plan.  Instead they do provide a element of residual income by offering a "qualification mark" before you can receive income. Normally, this will provide a training period between you and your mentor/sponsor/inviter.

You will not pay monthly for these types of Christian home based business opportunities, however it will result in a  higher one time payment. On the plus side, you will receive higher commission checks from each sale. I have seen a shift in our industry to these types of compensation plans, because new internet marketers can break even and get into profit much quicker.  Without a monthly payment hanging over your head, the distributor feels less pressure.
